Her agency also has an event division, whereas they have handled grand openings, red carpets, premier parties and product launches.

While her career has been exciting, in her free time Karen has always loved the outdoors, growing flowers and vegetables, gardening and horses.  She and her MD husband also operate beach vacation rentals. They made the decision to purchase a farm back in 2018.

It took a few years to locate the perfect land, but when we saw the 80 raw acres outside Charlottsville, VA we knew it was the place for our family. There are 360-degree breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains,” stated Karen.

When the lockdown happened, Karen knew it was going to be crucial to become self-sustainable.

The new we named Blossom Ridge farm will be organic with geo- thermal energy. The plan is to build an Event Barn where Karen will host events, weddings, and parties. She and her husband are looking to add chickens and goats.

They want to retain and Apiary to raise bees on the property for honey, grow Vines for their own Wine brand, vegetables, fruit trees and lavender. Karen will have an office for her PR clients and the farm ventures.

I want to build Blossom Ridge into a bustling farm estate over the next few years. It is exciting to begin this new adventure in our lives. We also want to offer some acreage to new young farmers to begin their farming careers.” Karen shared.

Once her farm is underway, we will follow up with her to see the progress.
